Resin-Bound: a permeable, durable surface

Resin-bound surfacing has become very popular in recent years and can enhance the look and value of a house with a neat, durable finish. Our resin-bound surfaces are created by mixing various combinations of natural stones – granite, flint or quartz – with a high-quality polyurethane resin to create a solid surface. The size of the stones ranges from 1mm to 6mm and are available in a wide range of colours.

These can be installed [either] indoors and outdoors in [either] domestic and commercial settings. At Atlas, we have rich experience in creating these surfaces in a range of environments, including internal flooring, driveways, patios, footways, cycleways, car parks and commercial properties.

Benefits of resin-bound surfaces

  • 1. They’re permeable:

Liquids and gases can pass through the surface, and our surfaces are compliant with Sustainable Drainage Systems regulations (SuDS), preventing any run-off that could cause issues in the surrounding areas,

  • 2. They’re slip-resistant:

By reducing any incidence of puddles forming on top of the surface, the risk of injury caused by slipping is minimised

  • 3. They’re durable:

These surfaces are hard-wearing and resistant to any ingress from weeds, and therefore should remain at top performance for years

  • 4. They’re low-maintenance:

Resin surfaces require minimum time and resources to be devoted to their upkeep in order to keep them working and looking great

  • 5. They’re decorative:

Available in a choice of fade-resistant colours, and with further decorative elements available, they look as good as they perform
